My high school running coach used to tell us about the importance of the twenty-something hours a day spent away from practice. We would log however many miles and then learn why we had chocolate milk and cherry juice after workouts. I wanted to know more about how I could feed my body to optimize performance and overall health. While continuing to run as a student-athlete, I earned a Bachelor's in Exercise Science and Master's in Nutrition Science from the University at Buffalo. I went on to complete my dietetic internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale University. Since becoming a registered dietitian, I have managed to stay involved in my special interests of sports nutrition and food security. Outside of work, you’ll find me hiking, playing music or striking a yoga pose.
